Les Miserables Movie Review

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! I bet 2013 is going to be great! One way you can do that is to go see the film Les Miserables which came out Christmas Day. We all have heard of Les Miserables, and over millions of people have seen the musical. When the musical came out in 1985 in London, it was a smash hit. Now, in 2012- 27 years later- director Tom Hopper has turned the beloved classic musical into a hit movie that broke over $18 million in tickets sales on its opening day. Hugh Jackman delivers a remarkable performance as Jean Valjean, alongside Russell Crowe as the determined Inspector Javert, Anne Hathaway as the hopeful Fantine and Amanda Seyfried as the innocent Cosette. The film has been nominated for 4 Golden Globes, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway, and Best Actor for Hugh Jackman. The movie is rated PG-13 and is one of the best pieces of cinema I have seen in a long time.
